Quinzaine Piedmont


Friday 5 February until Sunday 28 February 2010

The Via Alba in Canelli has not changed itself. Today as at that time you can smell the taste of the grapes behind the houses, and the hills have the colour of the white grapes and the lime trees.

And today as at that time there is the San Marco which is our partner restaurant for this year's Quinzaine. Mariuccia and Pier Carlo Ferrero own the ingenious restaurant since 1959 and her kitchen is known worldwide for gourmands. Her passion is trying out and modernizing of traditional Piedmont dishes. Visit us and try these creations of Mariuccia Ferrero and a breath Piedmont at the Hotel zum Storchen in February!



Piemdont evening with the Swiss Tenors
Thursday 18 February 2010, at 7:00 p.m.

Enjoy a traditional Piedmont evening at the Hotel zum Storchen. We are glad to spoil you with excellent dishes and wines selected of the wine-grower Coppo.

Pierro Coppo – one of the four brothers, who own and run the wine company – will be right at the Hotel zum Storchen to present those outstanding wines.

The Swiss Tenors will guide you through the evening with musical entertainment.

The price is CHF 165.00 per person including aperitif, menu and all beverages (exclusive liquer). An early reservation is recommended.

It was a passion for Mariuccia to write every single recipe down which was given by her mother. A huge collection of typically Piedmont dishes has been created after a short time and so was Maruccia’s passion for cooking.

Maruccia’s dishes are mixed from regional and fresh ingredients. Agnolotti, “al plin”, Fonduta and Finaziera are just a couple of many delicious delicacies. She inspires herself of the famous gastronomy Giovanni Goria from Asti and her passion is to try and to modernize the traditional Piedmont dishes. Mariuccia Ferrero has cooked at a lot international events and is represented in many cooking books. Since 1990 the restaurant owns a star and two forks in the Michelin guide.
